  • Legs, Bums & TumsLegs,Bums & Tums, a toning class that focuses on those stubborn areas that can be hard to shape. Whilst following a combination of simple, straight forward exercises this class will help improve muscular endurance and appearance of the legs, bottoms and abdominal area.     Club Manager

    Grant is the Club Manager at Palms Leisure Club, bringing in 10 years of leisure and fitness experience. Born and bred in Bridlington, Grant started his current career choice as a leisure attendant on the holiday parks, gradually climbing the career ladder until he became a Leisure Club Manager. After a couple of years managing pools and sporting activities, Grant then went onto qualify as a Level 2 Fitness Instructor with additional group exercise qualification including circuits, spinning, kettlebells etc. Once qualified, he then took his skills to his first gym instructor position in a gym down in the West Midlands where he moved too in 2009 with his partner to start a family. Spending 4 years down in the Midlands, Grant and family decided to move back to Bridlington (missed the beach too much)  with a full time gym instructor position at Palms Leisure Club which eventually turned into the Assistant Manager position. After 3 years at Palms he is now running the Club as the Manager providing the best service to all his members and making sure the club runs effectively and safely. Grant is always available for any questions so please don’t hesitate to approach him.

    Grant enjoys spending time with his partner and 2 children going for walks, bike rides and been creative at home. He also coaches the Bridlington U7’s Rugby Team on Sundays making sure he still gets involved with a sport that he loves.     Senior Instructor

    Josh is the Senior Instructor at Palms Leisure Club. He qualified as a Level 2 Fitness Instructor in June of 2016 and after a drastic career change became a full time member of the Palms team and has since gained a handful of experience in his first year as a Fitness Instructor including gaining his Level 3 Personal Training Qualification in September 2017. Born in Beverley and raised in Driffield, Josh has always had a passion for cooking and worked as head chef at the critically acclaimed Stuarts of Driffield Fish and Chips Restaurant for well over 7 years. This has helped Josh in social aspects as he is experienced in customer service to a very high standard. In his spare time he still works a Saturday shift in the Restaurant. However Josh’s life took a drastic turn in September of 2013 when he was diagnosed with Crohns Disease, a physically and mentally debilitating disease that can affect any part of your digestive tract. Aside from being physically and mentally unwell, Josh chose to combat this by taking up regular exercise and fitness and, alongside 8 weekly treatments has since kicked Crohns disease into near remission. Josh found comfort and a new lease of life in the gym and chose to train as a fitness instructor where he has found his true calling helping others like himself by showing them that health and fitness can change your life. He has recently settled down and gained a mortgage in his hometown of Driffield with his partner Kirsty, where he has become a clean freak and spends most of his days off cooking and keeping his pride and joy looking pristine!!
